Included with the mainsail reefing system is a standard boom kit (ref. RC). This consists of a recirculating ball car and a length of track plus fixings.

We offer another boom kit (ref. KB) which avoids the use of the existing boom sheaves which may not be suitable because of their diameter, age and absence of ball or needle bearings.

This optional kit consists of several items all equipped with needle bearings substantially reducing friction and making the system exceptionally light to operate.
