The flying sails (Gennakers, Code zero or Asymmetric Spinnakers) fitted on furlers are supplied with an anti-twist luff rope. Anti-twist as it needs to transmit the rotation down to the top of the sail. For an optimum revolution, the jaws of the furler mechanisms (drum & swivel) are connected to the luff rope thimbles. And for an optimum halyard tension, a 2-to-1 block can be fitted.
